Dr Ian Oram
Ian is responsible for the partnership's work on group and
network
projects and for the partners' collaboration
infrastructure.
He uses his experience of the development of collaborative
environments over the last thirty years and an extensive
background in networking to develop usable collaborative
systems for clients. These have included: commercial
user groups; distributed small business networking; and
ground breaking remote learning facilities for a leading UK
business school.
Ian has Masters degrees in Business Administration (MBA)
and in Computing Science (MSc) specialising in the
management of technological change. His PhD thesis in educational technology is on
the Computer Support of Collaborative Learning. His
research interests are in the area of computer support
of collaboration.
He is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), a
Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and a Chartered Engineer
(CEng); he is on the FEANI register of European Engineers.
